Occam Web Site Template Boxes RightThe Cobra Introducer™ is manufactured by Occam Design, a full-service human medical device design and contract manufacturing company, providing both engineering and manufacturing services including: clean room manufacturing, full-service device packaging and logistics. Dedicated to providing customers the highest quality products and services in the industry, our product development is fully integrated from design to rapid prototyping to production. The team holds more than 50 patents, and other medical device products are responsible for generating over one billion in sales.

Cobra Introducer™ is the latest medical device from our team of specialists. Cobra Introducer™ facilities are located in Louisville, Kentucky. With more than 20 years developing and manufacturing quality medical devices, we are committed to U.S. manufacturing to ensure the quality and traceability our customers demand.

Board of Directors

Dr. Francis Duque is board certified in anesthesiology.  Dr. Duque graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1991 and has been practicing for over 21 years.  He is affiliated with Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  He is co-inventor of the Cobra Introducer™.

Jim Geisler is Chief Operating Officer of Cobra Introducer™. Jim previously was CFO at United Technologies Corporation, a Dow Jones 30 company with over $50 billion in revenues. Institutional Investor magazine twice named Jim one of the top three CFOs in his industry. Jim is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and Darden Graduate School of Business of Administration at the University of Virginia.

David Phelps is Chief Executive Officer of Cobra Introducer™. He has over 40 patents issued or pending and has successfully developed more than fifty life science products.  David previously held manufacturing and product development positions at Boston Scientific Corporation and Baxter Healthcare.  He is also CEO of CreoSalus, a life science company in Louisville, KY. He is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School.

Christopher Rand is Co-founder TriStar Technology Ventures. TriStar is an early stage venture capital fund focusing on innovative health care technologies and solutions based in Nashville, Tennessee.  Prior to co-founding TriStar, Mr. Rand was the Manager of New Venture Development in Vanderbilt’s Office of Technology Transfer and Enterprise Development.  He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, has an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Dr. Barry Simon is a veteran in pharmaceutical drug development and regulatory work.  He was in private veterinary practice and several management positions including General Manager of Coolmore America (Ashford Stud and Creekview Farm).  He is a graduate of the University of Northern Colorado and Colorado State University.

Dr. John Stocking is board certified in anesthesiology.  Dr. Stocking graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 1985 and has been practicing for over 27 years.  He is affiliated with Ten Broeck Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  He is co-inventor of the Cobra Introducer™.

Rick Trontz is owner of Bluegrass Bloodstock Agency and Hopewell Farm in Versailles, Kentucky.  He has served on several boards including First Security Bank and Trust in Lexington, Kentucky.
